WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump had said during Pakistan's PM Imran Khan's visit to the US that India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi had requested him for mediation on Kashmir. India has said in clear terms that no such request has been made by PM Modi to Donald Trump. It is clear that the US President has once again lied directly on the matter.
Pak PM make a big claim, Promises To Improve Pakistan Cricket Team's Standards
It is worth mentioning that Donald Trump is known for such absurd statements and false claims, and that he is also gritty both inside the US and around the world. In April the same year, the British newspaper The Guardian published an article on Trump's false claims. The article pointed out that Donald Trump has lied more than 10,000 times since he took over as US President. If the average is taken out, Trump has a record of lying about 17 times a day.

This is not the first time that Trump has spoken this kind of lie with regard to India. Earlier, on the issue of climate change, Trump falsely claimed that India and China are the largest polluting countries in the world, not the US. On the contrary, the fact is that the two nations may be big polluters in terms of climate change, but the US is far ahead. According to experts, India and China's participation in the current level of global warming is 10 and 6 percent respectively, while the US contribution in this case is 23 percent.
