Recently the first teaser of one of the most awaited movies of the year, South Star Prabhas starring Adipurush was released but it was welcomed with more negative views than positive views as some people are very disappointed with Saif Ali Khan being caste as Ravana and some are very disappointed with the VFX of the film. Meanwhile, the actors are leaving no stone unturned in promoting the movie.
On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra Adipurush star Prabhas was in Delhi on Wednesday to perform the Ravana dahan at the world’s largest ramlila, organised annually at the Red Fort grounds. This Prabhas had the honour for Ravan Dahan. Prabhas shared the stage at the Luv Kush Ramlila with Adipurush director Om Raut and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
In the viral video the actor was felicitated by the organisers, the actor raised a gada (mace) in his hand to loud cheers from the crowd. Prabhas took the bow and arrow and fired the ceremonial shot to mark the beginning of the Ravana dahan, the final act of the Ramlila on Dussehra. Pictures and videos of the moment were shared by fans of the actors widely.
As soon as the pictures of the event went viral various actor started commenting on it. One fan wrote, “Doesn’t he look like the spitting image of Lord Ram. Perfect casting.” Another tweeted, “This image alone justifies why Om Raut was adamant on getting Prabhas to play Raghava in Adipurush.”
Adipurush is a multilingual saga based on an Indian Hindu mythological epic, Ramayana. Adipurush cast includes Kriti Sanon, Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, and Sunny Singh in the lead role. Prabhas plays the Hindu god Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan will play Lankesh. ‘Adipurush’ is set to hit theatres on January 12, 2023.
