Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) central committee member Supriyo Bhattacharya has once again demanded Governor Ramesh Bais and the Election Commission (ECI) to clarify the position on CM Hemant Soren's assembly membership case. He has requested to provide the intention of the Election Commission to CM Hemant Soren so that the judicial process can be followed in adverse situations and no conspiracy can be done.

Supriyo Bhattacharya has said that on September 1, when the UPA delegation met the Governor, the Governor had assured to send his decision to the Election Commission in two days. However, to date, nothing has been cleared. He said that on the same day, CM Soren's legal advisor had also requested the ECI to provide a view in Hemant Soren's case, but even after 15 days, neither the position has been clarified nor a copy of the intention has been provided by the Governor or the Commission.  

Supriyo asked how democracy would survive if there was no protection from Raj Bhavan and Indian tribunals. He said that while waiting for the decision of Raj Bhavan, the state cabinet under the chairmanship of CM Hemant created an atmosphere of happiness and enthusiasm in the state with two decisions, but since then the opposition parties have started creating many types of vicious cycles. There has been a lot of talk about the CM's visit to Delhi.
