New Delhi: Ahed of his scheduled visit to the forthcoming Telangana state elections today, Home Minister Amit Shah reiterated the Bharatiya Janata Party-led commitment, spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, towards fostering comprehensive growth in the southern state set to undergo polls on November 30.

Taking to his social media platform, Shah expressed his intent to address multiple rallies today in Gadwal, Nalgonda, and Warangal East. Additionally, during his visit, Shah declared intentions to unveil the BJP's election manifesto in Hyderabad.

The BJP is gearing up its campaign efforts for the impending polls, with the active participation of several union ministers expected in upcoming rallies.

"PM @narendramodi Ji-led BJP is dedicated to ensuring the holistic advancement of Telangana. Today, we unveil the BJP's Sankalp Patra, outlining PM Modi Ji's roadmap for the state," Shah tweeted.

Shah's agenda includes a meeting with leaders from the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) in Hyderabad. The MRPS has been advocating for internal reservations within the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, as per a party release on Thursday.

Earlier in November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public gathering organized by the MRPS, a community organization representing Madigas, one of the significant segments of scheduled castes in Telangana.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Prakash Javdekar, on Friday, criticized the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), labeling it "bhoomi donga" and accusing it of a massive disappearance of land leading to the loss of thousands of farmers' lands through the Dharani portal.

"No village meetings were conducted to validate land records, nor were there any field visits to verify land boundaries. Besides Dharani, there exist no land records. What happened to physical land records? Where did they vanish? The Dharani portal scam stands as the biggest swindle, causing the loss of lakhs of people's lands. Village revenue officers, who had all the land records, were transferred elsewhere," alleged the Rajya Sabha MP.

The Madigas, a Dalit community historically engaged in leatherworking and manual scavenging, constitute a significant populace in the region.

Scheduled for November 30, the Assembly elections in Telangana will witness the counting of votes alongside four other states on December 3.

In the preceding 2018 Assembly elections, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), formerly known as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), secured 88 out of 119 seats, commanding 47.4 percent of the total vote share. The Congress trailed distantly with a mere 19 seats.
