New Delhi: The terrorist attack on the Parliament of the country completed 19 years today. Terrorists attacked Parliament on 13 December 2001. Five gunmen attacked the parliament complex and fired bullets there. President Ram Nath Kovind, PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have recalled the bravery and sacrifice of those who sacrificed their lives while protecting Parliament.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted, remembering the heroic sons, "Paying respects to the brave sons of Mother India, who sacrificed their supreme sacrifice in the cowardly terrorist attack on the Parliament House of Democracy in 2001. A grateful nation will forever be indebted to your immortal sacrifice." Defense Minister Rajnath Singh wrote, 'I salute the valour of all the brave security personnel who made their supreme sacrifice while fighting the terrorist attack on Parliament on this day in 2001. Their bravery will also be remembered by the coming generations of this country.'

During this attack, five Delhi Police personnel, a woman personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), a Watch and Ward employee posted in Parliament Complex and a gardener martyred. 5 terrorists of terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba were killed in the action of security forces.
