Amit Shah  entrusts key responsibility and expresses confidence in RAF

New Delhi: The Rapid Action Force (RAF) has been known for its successful operations for US peacekeeping operations in different parts of the country as well as other countries over the past 29 years. By 2023, RAF is now gearing up to fully handle riots and similar public chaos in southern India as well as in Goa. The 97th battalion of RAF has been entrusted with the new responsibility by Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to Karnataka.

Amit Shah has expressed hope that the force will always stand shoulder to shoulder with the people to maintain peace across South India. With the aim of achieving the security setup of RAF, the force is being provided a new building at Bhadravati in the Shimoga district of Karnataka. An official source said the Karnataka government has allotted about 50 acres of land for its construction at a cost of Rs 230 crore.

This construction is targeted to be completed by the end of 2023. The administration block, residential line, hospital, Kendriya Vidyalaya as well as sports stadium will be constructed here in the premises of the building, which was laid by Shah on Saturday. A new chapter has been added to RAF's history which will achieve its establishment in South India after New Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
