Amit Shah has gone for a two-day tour to Assam. This is Amit Shah's first visit to Assam after the release of the final list of National Civil Register (NRC). Since the release of the final list of NRC, there is a lot of restlessness among the people of the state.

The names of about 19 lakh people are not included in this list. Amit Shah will attend the North East Council (NEC) meeting in Guwahati on this tour.
