Guwahati: Addressing an election rally in Assam, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that we will free the state from intruders. He said that Srimanta Sankardeva tried to connect the entire eastern region with India with foresight, Mahatma Gandhi said at the time of independence movement that Assam is indeed lucky that Shankardev ji was born here 500 years ago.

Addressing the rally in Bordua, Home Minister Amit Shah said that the Congress government was in Assam for 15 years, but he never considered the land of Srimanta Shankar Dev ji as a holy place and built a memorial in it. We were given the opportunity to do this and both our leaders have worked to carry forward the message of Shrimant Shankar Dev Ji. Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that there has been a new beginning of development in the entire North East under the leadership of PM Modi Ji. Earlier the Assam movement was known by violence, today Modi ji has done many things to increase the pride of Assam, which Assam was earlier known for arms movement, there was agreement of Bodo Land.

Home Minister Amit Shah said that due to floods, lakhs of people are forced to leave their homes here, places have been found by satellite from where large ponds will be diverted by making water, managing irrigation. Tourist places will be made and Assam will be made flood-free.
