Mumbai: Bollywood emperor Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starer 'Chehre' was released at the box office a day ago. The film has not received much response on the first day. However, it was already believed that the film would not get that much response. The mystery-thriller film was said to be hardly successful amid the Coronavirus epidemic.

Chehre has collected Rs 60 lakh on the first day, which is very low. It has been released on 1000 screens. Though the film has received a good response in Delhi, there was no significant response in other states. The film is expected to do a respectable collection at the box office over the weekend. Cinemas are closed across Maharashtra due to the Coronavirus. However, cinemas in many states have opened with some restrictions. Theatres in Delhi are open with a capacity of 50 percent.

Directed by Rumi Jafri, the film also stars Annu Kapoor, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhant Kapoor, Raghubir Yadav, Dhritiman Chatterjee, and Crystal D'Souza in pivotal roles. Interestingly, 'Mumbai Saga' is the second release of the year after co-star John Abraham during the epidemic. Amitabh was so impressed with the film Chehre Script that he didn't take any money to work on it.
