Villain Amjad Khan who plays a role better than heroes is no longer in this world. Amjad Khan passed away on July 27, 1992. Amjad Khan had won everyone's heart with his work and his character Gabbar has not been forgotten till date. Amjad Khan has acted in many films in his career but later he became a victim of an accident that worsened his condition. The incident took place when Amjad Khan was working with Amitabh Bachchan in the film 'The Great Gambler'.

The film was scheduled to be shot in Goa and amjad khan left for Goa with his family for the same but something happened on the way that Amjad Khan's condition deteriorated. In fact, there was a terrible accident in his car in which Amjad Khan suffered a lot of injuries. Amjad Khan is said to have broken 13 ribs at the time while steering entered his lungs. Amjad Khan stayed in a wheel chair for a long time due to the incident and had to be operated upon. Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan helped his friend Amjad Khan and his family a lot.

Amjad Khan's bad phase started after the accident and started gaining weight. Amjad Khan's condition deteriorated to such an end that he even fell into a coma due to his weight gain. Then, on July 27, 1992, at night, Amjad Khan bid farewell to the world. Amjad's wife Shaila Khan once said in an interview, Amjad always used to say, 'I will just leave in 5 minutes, no one will even know nor will I get anyone to do service,' and the same thing happened.
