Due to increase in ammonia level in Yamuna, Wazirabad and Chandrawal plants will not be able to produce water at full capacity, hence water supply in half of Delhi is being affected. The maximum impact is going to be in East and South-East Delhi. Water is going to come due to low pressure in Central Delhi. According to the Water Board, due to ammonia, Wazirabad and Chandrawal plants have not been able to work at full capacity for the last two days. Ammonia level in Yamuna remains at 2.3. After CSC, the ammonia level in the plant has reduced to 1.6. The plant will be able to work at full capacity only after this level reaches 1.2.

It is expected that the ammonia level will reduce slightly by Wednesday afternoon. Only after that water production can become normal. Along with this, the work of cleaning the underground reservoir and booster pumping is going to start from Wednesday. Due to this, supply is going to be disrupted for two days in East and South-East Delhi. 

Can be ordered from tanker: Reports say that from Wednesday to Thursday, Old Seemapuri BPS, Panchsheel Enclave, OHT 4 Story DDA Kalkaji, C-7 Safdarjung Development Area, C-Block East of Kailash, R.K. Water supply is going to be disrupted in Puram Sector-5 Flat, Pocket-D Dilshad Garden. People living in these areas can order tankers for water. The board says that in the meantime people will have to make arrangements for the availability of water. Depending on the need, it will be made available through tankers and other means.
