Mumbai: Amrita Fadnavis, wife of former CM and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis, has also reacted to the issue following the letter bomb of the former Commissioner of Mumbai Police. Amrita Fadnavis on Saturday gestures that the allegations leveled by IPS officer Param Bir Singh on state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh would have far-reaching consequences.

"The way things have started will go far," he tweeted. "How many will have to be sacrificed to save the king," said Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh on Saturday, claiming that Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh wanted police officers to recover at least Rs 100 crore per month, from bars and hotels. However, Deshmukh has denied the allegation.

In a letter to CM Uddhav Thackeray, IPS Param Bir Singh said, "Sachin Vaze was asked by Anil Deshmukh to make a recovery. Sachin Vaze himself told me about this," Param Bir Singh alleged, adding that Anil Deshmukh had invited Sachin Vaze several times to his official residence and had given a target of 100 crores each month.
