Champai: The tremors of frequent earthquakes in Mizoram have created a rage in the hearts and minds of people. On Wednesday, the state's land trembled once again by the earthquake. The Earthquake Center (NCS) said that a magnitude-4.1 earthquake occurred in Mizoram at Richter scale, 31 km south of Champhai, at 08:02 am today. Earlier, earthquake tremors were felt in Mizoram late Tuesday night at 11.33 am. According to the NCS, there was a magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter scale and the epicenter of the earthquake was 70 km south-southeast of the Champhai district.

There was a 5.3 magnitude earthquake in the early hours of Monday, which damaged the houses and caused cracks at many places on the roads. The official of the state's Department of Geology and Mineral Resources said that there was no information of any casualties due to the earthquake. Quoting from the National Seismological Center, he said that the quake came at 4.10 am and its epicenter was in Jokhavatar in the Champhai district located on the Indo-Myanmar border. He said that earthquake tremors were felt in many parts of the state.

He said that many buildings and buildings, including a church, were damaged in Champhai district due to the earthquake. Cracks occurred on roads and highways in many places.
