Patna: In Bihar, the flood situation is taking a terrible form. All the major rivers of the state have gone above the danger mark, due to which the population of lakhs has been affected. In Madhubani, the way the Kamala Balan river has shown its monstrous form, many panchayats in the district have been flooded. Due to floods in Madhubani, it has become such that the Bhairav place located on National Highway 57 has changed into a station island. Last year too, the Bhairav Sthan police station was completely converted into an island. Last time too, due to flooding in Kamla Balan river, the police station has been filled with water.

This year also the situation has not changed and Bhairav place station has become an island. Due to which police personnel stationed in the police station are facing a lot of difficulties. Policemen had to pass through the water with their shoes in hand while going to and from the police station. Apart from this, people coming to the police station are also having trouble. Police personnel posted in Bhairav Sthan police station have told that every year during the rainy season Bhairav station turns into an island station. Due to which we have a lot of difficulty in working. While going to and from the police station, we have to bend our pants to our knees and take shoes in our hands. Apart from this, the roads of many villages along NH 57 have also been flooded.

Due to floods in Bihar and Assam, the situation has become very bad. Due to which a large number of people have become homeless and many people have died. Dams and bridges have been broken in many places. The floods in Bihar have affected more than 5 lakh population amidst havoc. In all the districts, there have been havoc in about 245 panchayats. The administration relief-rescue operation is being carried out. So far, 5 thousand people have been sent to relief camps.
