VIJAYAWADA:  Andhra Pradesh  Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy stated on Friday that Rythu Bharosa will be distributed on May 16 and crop insurance will be distributed to farmers by June 15 to help them begin farming activities in the Kharif season.  On May 11, 3,000 tractors with farming equipment would be supplied through 4014 community hiring centres and Matsyakara Bharosa, the CM said.

For the first time in Andhra Pradesh, the state government established Drone Community Hiring Centers to assist farmers in using drones for agricultural purposes. The CM conducted a thorough examination of the agriculture sector and congratulated officials on the RBKs' nomination for the FAO Champion Award.

The officials briefed the chief minister on the central government's instructions for the operating and usage of Kisan drones. The CM stated that under each Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs - drone community hiring centres )  should be established with educated farmers. They should be given training as well as certifications. Farmers should be made aware of the proper usage of fertilisers and pesticides by air-dropping movies from drones. Drones will play a critical role in the usage of nano-pesticides and nano-fertilizers in the future, he said, adding that this would help control chemical overuse.

The chief minister directed officials to focus on e-cropping at the village level by performing frequent social audits and ensuring that all welfare packages are provided to the farming community. Officials must keep a close eye on CMAPP's performance and the operation of kiosks at RBKs.

The CM emphasised the importance of raising CCRC knowledge by providing complete information on tenant farmer rights. If required, officials must visit each home. He also urged officials to concentrate on natural farming and to promote it through RBKS by establishing community hiring centres at RBKs.
