In a significant declaration amidst the ongoing debate over reservation and minority quotas, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has asserted that the 4% Muslim reservation will remain intact, stating it as the final stance of the YSR Congress Party.

Speaking at a public gathering in Kurnool, CM Reddy criticized opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu for his flip-flopping stance on the issue. Reddy accused Naidu of aligning with the BJP, which seeks to abolish the 4% Muslim reservation, while simultaneously attempting to garner minority votes through theatrical tactics. Reddy emphasized that regardless of the circumstances, the YSR Congress Party remains firm on retaining the 4% Muslim reservation. He questioned Naidu's rationale for maintaining an alliance with the NDA, especially when the NDA government has expressed intentions to revoke the reservation.

Commenting on the impending Lok Sabha elections, Reddy likened the political scenario to the legendary battle of Kurukshetra, highlighting its significance beyond merely electing representatives. He asserted that the outcome of the elections would determine the fate of ongoing government schemes and the developmental trajectory of every household. Reddy warned against voting for Naidu, cautioning that it would halt the progress and welfare initiatives spearheaded by his administration.

Further lambasting Chandrababu Naidu's tenure, CM Reddy pointed out the lack of substantial welfare measures during Naidu's 14-year tenure as Chief Minister. Reddy emphasized his government's commitment to inclusive development, devoid of discrimination based on religion, caste, community, or political affiliation.
