Srikakulam: A big news has come from the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. In fact, five people died painfully after being hit by a train late on Monday night. Let us tell you all that the Information Department of Srikakulam district has informed that the incident took place around 9 pm on Monday between Sigadam and Chipurpalli railway station. According to railway officials, some passengers pulled the chain on the Visakhapatnam-Palasa mainline and stopped the Express train from Coimbatore to Silchar. During this time, as soon as the train stopped, people got off the train and crossed the track and were trying to go to the other side. However, in the meantime, the Bhubaneswar-CST Mumbai Konark Express train from the other side reached a rampage and all the people crossing the tracks were hit by the Bhubaneswar-CST Mumbai Konark Express train, killing five persons after being run over by the train.

According to the information received so far, five people died on the spot while some people were injured after being hit by the train. On the other hand, railway officials said that so far the bodies of five persons have been recovered from the spot and all these bodies were brought by the same train to Srikakulam Road station from where the deceased have been taken to the hospital through ambulance where their post-mortem will be conducted. Srikakulam district collector Shrikesh B. Lathkar, as soon as he came to know about the incident, sent the local revenue divisional officer and tahsildar to the spot for relief and rescue operations. On the other hand, officials say that the district medical officer has been informed about the incident and arrangements have been made for the treatment of the injured in the hospital.

Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed deep grief over the family of all those killed in the Srikakulam train accident. Yes and at the same time, CM Reddy has spoken to the district administration and directed them to provide the best medical facilities to the injured. Apart from this, he has assured all possible help to the victim's family.
