Amravati: The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday has decided to ban online games like rummy and poker, which are pushing the youth on the wrong path. Information Minister Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) has said that the state cabinet headed by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to ban online gambling.

While informing the journalists at the end of this cabinet meeting, the minister said that online gambling has become such that it is harming the youth by 'misleading' them. Perni Venkataramaiah further said in this regard, "So we have decided to ban all such online gambling for the safety of the youth." As per the decision of the cabinet, the organizers of online gambling, for the first time, apart from crime Will have to go to jail. The second offense will be punishable by up to 2 years in prison. The minister further said that those caught playing online games will face a jail term of 6 months.

For your information, let us tell you that the Ministry of Information and Technology has banned 118 mobile applications, including the mobile game PUBG, on Wednesday. This is the country's third digital strike on China's mobile apps. At the same time, earlier in the month of June, the country had banned 47 apps from China including Ticketlock and after that in July last, 59 Chinese apps were banned. The government has cited national security behind this decision.
