Port Blair: Two new cases of corona infection have been reported in the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar, with the total number of infected people increasing to 7,582. A health department official said in this regard on Monday. He said that one person was found infected while the other was of a passenger who came to the airport.

The official said passengers coming here by plane are allowed to enter the archipelago only after RT-PCR tests. In the last 24 hours, the number of recoverers has increased to 7,444 after another patient was free from infection. There are now 9 patients undergoing treatment. The official said no patient has lost his life in the last 24 hours, after which the death toll remains at 129. So far 3,87,285 beneficiaries have been given corona vaccine supplements.

Today, 27,254 new cases of coronavirus have been registered across the country, with the total number of corona cases in the country now at 3,32,64,175. While the death toll from infection has reached 4,42,874 after the death of 219 patients during this period. The Union Health Ministry said that active cases of corona virus in the country have now come down to 3,74,269 lakh.
