The film industry often sees changes in release dates due to competition. Right now there are only a few examples of the release date being interchanged with the mutual consent of the filmmakers. The names of producers Karan Johar and Dinesh Vijan have also been added to this list. Karan Johar, through a tweet, has informed that the release date of 'Angrezi Medium', 'Gunjan Saxena' and 'Roohi Afza' has been changed. He has taken this decision with a mutual agreement with Dinesh Vijan.

Karan Johar tweeted, "Friendship is rarely seen in the industry but it exists. It is constantly empowering. Dino (Dinesh Vijan) and I have changed the dates. 'Angrezi Medium' (Producer, Dinesh Vijan) can now knock the release date of 'Gunjan Saxena' (Producer, Karan Johar) a week ago on 13 March 2020. 'Gunjan Saxena' has taken the release date of 'Roohi Afza' (Producer, Dinesh Vision) on 24 April 2020. The new release date of 'Roohi Afza' has been shared from Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films official Twitter account. Now the film will be released on 5 June 2020."

It is being told that this is not the first time Karan has talked about the lack of friendship in the cinema world, as well as the trailer launch of the film 'Bhoot Part One - The Haunted Ship'.
