Last time ED demanded an extension of custody for face-to-face interrogation with Sachin Vaze, but Sachin Waze is still in the custody of the Mumbai Crime Branch so interrogation is yet to be done. According to the information received, CBI is also going to investigate the controversial transfer of a police officer in addition to the corruption case registered against him. With great difficulty, the Maharashtra government had handed over the files related to the case to the CBI. The CBI has recorded the statement of IPS officer Rashmi Shukla, who prepared a confidential report and then handed over the DGP of Maharashtra. The CBI had filed a formal corruption case against Deshmukh after the Bombay High Court ordered a preliminary inquiry to CBI.

It has been revealed that the ED had initiated action against Deshmukh and their associates following an FIR lodged by CBI against the NCP leader on April 21 on the alleged corruption and misuse of official office.
