Anil Kapoor recalls origin of 'jhakkass’, working with Nutan in Yudh

Anil Kapoor has posted a few unforgettable pictures from 'Yudh', his 1985 film that had the legendary phrase "ek dum jhakaas." On Thursday, the picture celebrated its 28th anniversary of release. In the film directed by Rajiv Rai, the actor played a dual part opposite Tina Munim, Jackie Shroff, Nutan, and Danny Denzongpa. Shatrughan Sinha and Hema Malini both made appearances.

Anil said on Twitter while sharing the pictures, "38 Years of #Yudh and 38 years since #Jhakassss came into our lives and never left! I always remember #Yudh very fondly for so many reasons! Working with the producer Gulshan Rai and his son Rajiv was a pleasure, Tina Munim was a fabulous costar and Jackie was, as always, a blast!"

Remembering about his time with Nutan, who played his mother in Yudh, he further wrote, “I also loved working with Nutanji because she was always so warm and caring, she reminded me of my own mother.” He also said, "Plus, who can forget a dream chance to dance with the one and only Hemaji! Yudh really was a gift that hasn't stopped giving. @dreamgirlhema @bindasbhidu."

Anil was most recently seen in the 2022 film Jugjugg Jeeyo and has already begun filming for Animal, in which he portrays a police officer. Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol also appear in the film. He is now working on Fighter by Siddharth Anand. He plays an important part in the film, which also stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. The film also stars Akshay Oberoi and Karan Singh Grover. He also provided his voice for the Hindi version of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 2. The cast includes Aishwarya Rai, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Sobhita Dhulipala.
