Chandigarh: Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Sunday hit back at former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi saying that a Hindu who is not a Hindu is a fake Hindu. Earlier, at a rally in Jaipur, the Congress leader had said that India is a hindu country and not a Hindutva. Rahul had said that the BJP is dividing the country by using Hindutva, but true Hindus do not believe in this ideology.

On Rahul's statement, Anil Vij tweeted that 'one who is not a Hindutva is a fake Hindu.' Describing Hinduism and Hindutva as two different words, Rahul Gandhi said that just as two living beings cannot have a soul, two words cannot have the same meaning. Rahul Gandhi was addressing the Congress' 'Mahngayi Hatao Rally' in Jaipur on Sunday. He said PM Modi and his three or four Hindutvas destroyed the country within seven years. He said a Hindutva PM stabbed farmers in the back and later apologised.

Before Rahul Gandhi addressed a rally against price rise, he said, "This is a Hindu country, not a Hindutva. If there is price rise and pain in the country, it has been done by Hindutvas. Hindutvas want only power at any cost.' The Congress organized the rally at Vidyanagar Stadium in Jaipur against rising inflation in the country. Congress leaders appeared excited by the large crowd at the rally. Apart from Rajasthan, people from neighbouring states of Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi etc. and Congress leaders from across the country had attended the rally.
