Chennai: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is currently on a 10-day visit to the US. During this time, Rahul Gandhi is constantly targeting PM Narendra Modi and the Government of India from there. Now Tamil Nadu BJP unit president K Annamalai has lashed out at Rahul Gandhi. Just because Rahul Gandhi is unemployed does not mean the entire country is unemployed. Annamalai claimed that the BJP will succeed in the southern states in the 2024 elections. He said that the development work of the government and the Modi factor will work to make the BJP win.

"I can proudly call Modi ji a worker, but that is not the case in the Congress. Due to the Congress culture, the name of national parties in Tamil Nadu has been tarnished. Just because Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is unemployed does not mean that the entire country is unemployed." Asked if south India was the region where the BJP had not been able to make an impact, he said the BJP did well in the Karnataka polls. We retained our old (2018) vote share. In Puducherry, we entered and the BJP is part of the coalition government there. In 2024, the BJP will surprise in Karnataka and Kerala as well as Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

When asked if south India is still a distance for the BJP, he said, "Before 2014, the politics of South India was different. In Tamil Nadu, the BJP started late. We took a big leap in Vajpayee's visit. The party has grown rapidly since 2014. This time it is going to be a combination of development work done by PM Modi and cultural resonance."

Rahul Gandhi is currently in the US. From America, he is constantly attacking the BJP. Rahul is mostly repeating what he said during his UK tour, like I had Pegasus on my phone, no press freedom in India, atrocities on Muslims, etc.   On Thursday( June 1), Rahul Gandhi said in an event that more than 60 percent of the people of India do not vote for the BJP and PM Modi. During this, he claimed that his party will defeat the BJP in the assembly elections to be held in five states later this year. Assembly elections are due in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Telangana later this year.
