Bhubaneswar: Another MLA of the ruling Biju Janata Dal in Odisha was infected with Coronavirus. MLA Anant Narayan Jena of Bhubaneswar announced on Thursday that he tested positive for coronavirus and now he has been living in isolation at home. Anant Narayan Jena has tweeted that "I got an investigation done after the symptoms of Covid-19 and my reports came positive. I am fine and living in a separate room in my residence. I request those who have come in my contact to go to different habitats and get corona examined.''

8 MLAs have been infected with Coronavirus aside from Anant Narayan Jena so far in Odisha. Of these, 6 MLAs are from BJD and 2 are from BJP. On Thursday, 2,898 new cases of corona in the state have reached 70,000 cases in the state. At the same time, after the death of 8 more people, the figure of the deceased increased to 380.

Health officer told that these new cases have come out from all the three districts of the state. The officer said that out of the new cases, 1,792 cases were reported in different centres. 1,106 people were exposed to the infection due to contact with the infected.
