New Delhi: Another case of monkeypox has been reported in the country's capital Delhi. A Nigerian woman has tested positive for monkeypox in the capital. The woman has been admitted to LNJP Hospital. So far, 13 cases of monkeypox have been reported in the country. Apart from this, another suspected patient has been admitted to the LNJP Hospital of the Delhi government.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), from January 1, 2022, to September 14, cases of monkeypox have been reported in 103 countries all over the world. Not only this, 59,147 cases have been reported so far. At the same time, 22 people have died so far. Last week (September 05-11), 4,863 cases of monkeypox were registered all over the world. While 5,026 cases were found from 29 August to 04 September. The highest number of these cases is found in African countries at 75.4 per cent. While 23.6 per cent of cases have been found in Europe. 

Let us know that a new strain of monkeypox has recently been found in Britain. British health officials have confirmed that a man from South Africa has been found infected with Monkeypox. Genome sequencing has revealed that the current variant of Monkeypox has not been found in the person. After this, the patient has been admitted to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
