Bhubaneswar: Shankaracharya of Puri in Odisha Swami Nischalananda Saraswati has supported the survey of madrasas being conducted by the Uttar Pradesh government. He has said that if madrasas are being accused of promoting terrorism, then it must be investigated. There is no harm in that. The truth must come out. Let us know that the government of UP CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered a survey of madrasas in the state.

On this, Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda has said that "Apart from madrasas, if serious allegations are made at any religious place like math-temple or mosque, then it must be investigated." It is necessary to overcome that deficiency after investigation. The decision to conduct surveys of madrasas is not wrong, as shocking cases have been seen in many places before. According to media reports, Swami Nischalananda Saraswati said that what does not happen in madrasas is known to all. He further said "We can learn from the situation in Assam. The Chief Minister there has taken strict decisions in view of the seriousness of the situation. If an institution is used to suppress a particular system and train terrorism, it is not unreasonable to call it a hub of terrorism.''

The survey of madrasas in Uttar Pradesh, which began on Saturday, has been opposed by opposition parties like the SP-BSP. Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav has said that conducting a survey of any respected religious place is not justified, then it hurts the beliefs deeply. Justice is the biggest religion.
