Varanasi: Another petition has been filed to become a party to the Shringar Gauri case of the disputed Gyanvapi complex. Senior Supreme Court advocate and BJP leader Ashwani Upadhyay has given an application on behalf of Nikhil Upadhyay and Rudravikram Vikram Singh in the district judge's court. The court has fixed July 4 for hearing the matter. The same day is also the date for hearing of other cases. In the Taj Mahal case also, an application has been given on behalf of these litigants. Earlier on Monday, five other people had also filed an application.

Talking to the media after filing the petition in the court, Ashwani Upadhyay said that the place of worship law is made for the place of worship. This law is made for the temple and not for the mosque. The temple side can argue the law of the place of worship on its behalf, the mosque side cannot. As far as law is concerned, no law can block the door of the court. No law can stop judicial review. This law cannot take away the Right to Justice.

Ashwani Upadhyay told that he has put two demands before the court. Along with becoming a party, we have demanded that all media should be allowed to go to Gyanvapi for a day. Channels from all over the country should go there and tell the public what is the reality.
