NEW DELHI: The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has accused Delhi's Education Department of committing an Rs 200-crore scam. BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana and Media Relations Department Chief Neelkanth Bakshi have given a written complaint to Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi, Madhur Verma. On the other hand, DCP Madhur Verma has transferred the case to the Anti-Karpshan Department in view of the seriousness of the case.
In a letter written by DCP Mudhar Verma of New Delhi district to the Additional Commissioner of Police of Anti-Karpash Branch, it was stated that on July 2, BJP spokesperson and party media cell in-charge Neelkanth Bakshi had given a written complaint. He accused the Delhi government's education department of committing an Rs 200-crore scam. The allegations have been leveled against the construction of 12748 rooms and buildings of the school built by the Education Department of the Kejriwal government.
According to DCP Madhur Verma, BJP leaders allege that the Education Department has exaggerated the cost of construction of these buildings. He also informed the Anti-Karpkar Department that a complaint has also been received by MLA Kapil Mishra from Karwal Nagar area of Delhi in this regard. Delhi government ministers Manish Sisodia and Satendra Jain have been charged with a scam in the construction of school buildings and rooms.
