New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University is once again in the headlines. Yes and the reason for this is shocking. In fact, anti-caste slogans have been found written on the walls of the JNU campus. Yes, here slogans have been written against Brahmin and Bania communities. 'Brahmin Campus Chhodo', 'Raktpat Hoga', 'Brahmin Bharat Chhodo', and 'Brahmino Aur Baniyo, Ham Tumhare Pass Badla Lene Aa Rahe Hai' are written on the walls here. Let us tell you that these slogans are shocking and an atmosphere of panic has been created after seeing them on the walls of the JNU campus.

ABVP has blamed leftist students for this outbreak. While strongly condemning the matter, the VC ordered an inquiry. In this case, the students claimed that the School of International Studies-II building was vandalized with slogans of anti-Brahmin and anti-Bania communities. Let us tell you that in this whole matter, JNU's ABVP unit president Rohit Kumar said that the slogans were written overnight and there was no CCTV camera around to find out who did it.

Rohit Kumar said, 'From the messages, it is clear that these are intimidation tactics by left-leaning students on campus. We have registered a complaint and submitted a memorandum against these messages to the administration. He said that educational spaces should be used for debate and discussion and not for poisoning the society and community of students. Let us tell you that JNU, a politically active campus, is also known for graffiti on its walls. According to reports emerging, the JNU Teachers' Association in a statement said it is unfortunate to hear about incidents of vandalism in several faculty rooms in the night.

With this, JNUTA said, 'JNUTA condemns this highly reprehensible act, which is not only painful for the faculty concerned, but also violates the spirit of diversity and tolerance of all ideas, which JNU stands for.' The union has now demanded that the JNU administration immediately inquire into the incident, identify the culprits and take action against them as per university rules.
