New Delhi: Amidst growing cases of global epidemic coronavirus infection, preparations are on to launch clothes made of antivirus textile technology for the first time in the country. Soothing-shirting fabrics and finished fabrics made with this technology will hit the market by the end of June. This fabric is capable of reducing 99.99 percent of germs.

Aristotle Lalbhai, executive director of the textile and apparel company Arvind Ltd, has announced the launch of antivirus clothing under the IntelliFabrics brand. This antivirus fabric is being manufactured by Arvind Ltd. in collaboration with Swiss textile innovation company Hack Materials AG and Taiwan's main speciality chemical company Gintex Corporation.

Arvind Limited Executive Director Kulin Lalbhai said that the global pandemic Coronavirus has caused instability across the world. We are committed to ensuring that our customers are safe at such times. This is the reason why we have partnered with Hack to bring Viroblock revolutionary technology to India. He further said that soon we will bring such clothes in Indian markets which will help in fighting the virus and at the same time these clothes will also be fashionable.
