Lucknow: Following the attack on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Uttar Pradesh, the party has complained to the Election Commission. A BJP delegation led by Union Minister Anurag Thakur met the Election Commission on Wednesday. Union Minister Anurag Thakur hit out at the Samajwadi Party (SP) after filing a complaint with the Election Commission.

Anurag Thakur said that after the second phase of voting, the SP is getting to see a lot of confusion. The way the people have pressed the lotus button, Akhilesh Yadav has started sweating it out. Rajya Sabha MP Geeta Shakya, who is the state president of the Mahila Sabha, was attacked. SP Singh Baghel was attacked by SP goons. The Election Commission should take action against these SP goons in the Karhal assembly seat in Mainpuri district where stones and sticks were fired at SP Singh Baghel.

Anurag Thakur further said that action should be taken against sp goons of Mainpuri Etawah and other places before voting. Paramilitary forces should be deployed. Union Minister Anurag Thakur also said that after the second phase, Akhilesh Yadav remembered Azam Khan. In the fifth and sixth phases, Atiq Ahmed and Mukhtar Ansari will also be remembered.
