Sitapur: In view of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, PM Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Sitapur on Wednesday. Here PM Modi fiercely attacked the opposition parties including the Samajwadi Party (SP) and enumerated the benefits of the BJP government in UP. PM Modi said in the public meeting that, 'BJP in UP means control over rioters, mafia raj, goonda raj... and freedom to celebrate all festivals.

PM Modi further said that having BJP in UP means protection of daughters, women from 'miscreants'. BJP in UP means double the speed of the schemes coming from the centre. On the occasion of Sant Ravidas Jayanti, PM Modi said that it is a matter of pride for me that I am the MP of Kashi, where Sant Ravidas ji was born. It is also my good fortune that God made me an instrument for the holy task of beautification of his temple complex in Varanasi. I got an opportunity to decorate the premises.

PM Modi said that for decades, devotees of Sant Ravidas ji used to demand it from every government, but elections used to come, people used to take pictures and go out. The BJP government is also working on a war footing on the Sant Ravidas Janmastri Vikas Project there. Our way of doing the work, the priority of our work, the path that the revered Saint Ravidas ji had guided centuries ago, is to follow in those footsteps.
