Lucknow: A day before the fifth phase of voting for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Union Minister Anurag Thakur launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav. Anurag Thakur said that those who used to steal pots, how can they give roti. Taking a jibe at Akhilesh Yadav's promise of free electricity, Anurag Thakur said, "There was no electricity during the SP regime, people used to dry clothes on electric wires during the SP regime.''

Praising the tenure of CM Yogi, Anurag Thakur said that, we often hear about gang war and Japanese fever encephalitis in Gorakhpur, but Modi ji and Yogi ji have given freedom from this disease. He further said that the claims of SP, Congress, BSP will prove to be false because these people do not live among the people and they have not done any work for the upliftment of the poor. In 70 years there was no AIIMS in Gorakhpur, but the government of Modi and Yogi ji gave AIIMS to Gorakhpur. There are many such examples.

The Union Minister said that those who shot Ram Bhakts with bullets, let them hear their EVMs. After holding a roadshow in Ayodhya on Friday, Anurag Thakur raised many questions even after the SP president visited Hanumangarhi. He said that, why doesn't Akhilesh ji go to see Ramlala and visit Kashi Vishwanath Dham? Because these people are afraid to go to the temple, apply vermilion and wear saffron. They do politics of appeasement, are devoted to vote bank.
