Ayodhya: The Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti wrapped up its two-day gathering on May 25, marking pivotal strides in shaping the Ram Mandir complex's future. Decisions made during this session, such as initiating the construction of the Sheshavatar Mandir and appointing architect Ashish Sompura, signify significant progress in the ongoing development of the site.
In addition to the new temple plans, attendees reached a consensus on constructing an additional office for the trust and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 500 within the premises. Before the second day's deliberations, Nripendra Mishra, the Ram Mandir Construction Committee chairman, conducted a thorough inspection of the ongoing construction work in the complex.
Post-meeting, Ram Mandir Trustee Dr. Anil Mishra conveyed encouraging updates regarding the construction's advancement. The foundation excavation for the Saptmandapam has been successfully completed, and architect Ashish Sompura is currently drafting the design for the Sheshavatar Mandir, with construction slated to commence shortly. This progress underscores the dedication and concerted efforts of all involved parties.
Furthermore, directives were issued to expedite the pilgrim facility center's completion within two months, with plans to hand over the project to Larsen & Toubro (L&T) by August. The rampart's construction pace is also set to accelerate, with a targeted completion deadline of March 2025. Notable attendees at the meeting included Trust General Secretary Champat Rai, temple construction overseer Gopal Rao, Ram Mandir architect Ashish Sompura, and engineers from Tata and L&T.
