Parents reached Supreme Court regarding board examination

A group of parents have opposed the CBSE decision to conduct the board exams for the remaining Class 12 subjects between July 1 and 15. In this regard, the petition filed in the Supreme Court said that the decision of CBSE is very arbitrary, as according to AIIMS data, the corona infection in the country will be at its peak in July.

Apart from this, the petitioners said that going out for examination amid the peak of corona infection would be a threat to the health of children. The decision to conduct the examination should be stopped from July 1. Parents have also appealed to declare the results of the examination by giving average marks in the remaining subjects on the basis of the examinations conducted and the marks of internal assessment.

In their statement, the petitioners said that no symptoms were found in about half of the patients of Corona. Children will be in more danger. Apart from this, it is not possible for all family members to take children from private vehicles to the examination centre and sending children by public transport will be dangerous. The Ministry of Human Resource Development had said on May 25 that instead of the earlier 3,000 centres with the complete system of security and cleanliness, the examination of remaining subjects of 10th and 12th class will be conducted in 15,000 examination centres.
