In the smartphone market, we have seen significant growth and tailwinds, and companies like Apple and Samsung are becoming more interested in expanding and growing in this market, said the Minsiter. We intend to essentially repeat and build upon it.

Apple and Samsung have exported billions of dollars' worth of mobile devices from India thanks to financial incentives for the industry. The new incentive programme for IT gear manufacturers, including Dell Technologies Inc., HP Inc., and Lenovo Group Ltd, said Chandrasekhar.

He emphasied, the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi also hopes to entice chip manufacturing and packaging facilities to India.
