Apple set to release iOS 16.5 to the general public in the coming week with a few small changes.  MacRumors reported that a Twitter account, known for sharing pre-release build numbers of iOS updates, has revealed  that the forthcoming iOS 16.5 Release Candidate for developers will bear the build number 20F65.

Since the end of March, iOS 16.5 has been in beta testing, and it appears to be a rather minor software update. It is predicted that this release will occur before iOS 17 is unveiled at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June.

Two significant improvements and additions for the iPhone have reportedly been unveiled thus far, per the report. Users can now easily access news, scores, and schedules about their favourite teams and leagues thanks to the initial addition of a Sports tab built within the Apple News app.

As per the report, the second version gives users the ability to start screen recording with Siri. Users may record a video of their iPhone's screen by just asking "Hey Siri, start a screen recording," and they can tell Siri to stop recording at any time.

Apple simultaneously released its first round of publicly accessible "rapid security" patches. These updates were created expressly to address security flaws that are being actively exploited or pose a serious risk to the privacy and safety of users.

These patches, referred to by Apple as "Rapid Security Responses," are important security upgrades that are distributed in between routine software updates, said Apple.

Meanwhile, a reliable display industry analyst has revealed Apple's much awaited iPhone 16 series. In September of this year, the business is anticipated to make a statement regarding its 2023 iPhones, with the iPhone 16 range likely to be introduced around the same time the following year. Here are specifics on the iPhone 16 series' rumoured features.

As per a report by MacRumors, Apple plans to change the screen sizes of its 2024 iPhones, with the iPhone 16 Pro models featuring big displays. Ross Young, co-founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants, made this revelation. The article mentioned that the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch OLED panels for the iPhone 16 Pro and Max variants, respectively, are anticipated.
