Apple is gearing up to introduce the highly anticipated AirPods 4 during the iPhone 16 launch event scheduled for next month. According to recent reports, the new AirPods 4 will come in two distinct variants, each designed to cater to different user needs.

AirPods 4: What to Expect

The upcoming AirPods 4 will feature a design that builds upon the current AirPods 2 and AirPods 3 models. The main difference between the two new variants will be their noise-cancelling capabilities. The higher-end model will offer active noise cancellation (ANC), providing a more immersive listening experience. In contrast, the entry-level variant will lack this feature, focusing instead on basic functionality.

Industry insider Mark Gurman notes that while the new AirPods 4 will be a step up from their predecessors, they will remain separate from the AirPods Pro 3, which are also expected to be updated later this year.

Current Models and Pricing

The AirPods 2, which were released in 2019, lack many modern features found in current earphones. They are currently priced at ₹12,900 on Apple's official website. On the other hand, the AirPods 3, which introduced features like Spatial Audio and a charging case, are available for ₹20,900.

Although Gurman has not yet disclosed the exact pricing for the new AirPods 4 variants, the pricing of the existing AirPods 2 and AirPods 3 suggests that the new models will likely be priced competitively within this range.

Stay tuned for more updates as Apple prepares to unveil these new additions to its popular AirPods lineup.
