New Delhi:- According to reports, the launch of the iPhone 15 series of smartphones will be delayed this year. Apple usually unveils its new generation of iPhones in September, making them available for purchase a few days later in the same month. The iPhone 12 series launched later than usual in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 series could face similar delays this year. Analysts at Bank of America (BoA) believe the iPhone 15 series won't launch until October, not September. The iPhone 15 launch delay is likely to affect Apple's September quarter as well. Meanwhile, another report claims that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be out of stock when they launch in September due to screen manufacturing issues.
"The iPhone 15 launch could be delayed by several weeks and next-generation phone launches could be pushed back to the December quarter," said Wamsi Mohan, a global research analyst at BoA, in the latest investor note accessed by this magazine, reportedly based on some supply chain overhauls.

The analyst also raised his price target on Apple shares from $190 (about 15,000 rupees) to $210 (about 17,000 rupees), but said there was concern that iPhone sales in the fiscal year ending September 2023 could fall short of expectations.
Mohan predicted the iPhone 12 to be released in 2020 fairly accurately. Due to the impact of the coronavirus on the supply chain, iPhone 12 Pro shipments were delayed to late October, while iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max began shipping in the second week of November.
Meanwhile, The Information reports that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are set to officially launch in September, but the launch will be very close due to manufacturing issues with the screens. Apple's display suppliers are reportedly using a new manufacturing process to reduce the width of the bezels on the Pro models. As a result, the iPhone 15 Pro model has a slightly larger screen compared to its predecessor.

LG Display is reportedly suffering from manufacturing process issues, including failing to pass reliability tests when gluing the screen to the metal body of the Pro model. Apple has reportedly tweaked the design of LG displays to pass reliability tests, and it is said that there are also Samsung displays available for assembly. These issues can lead to scarcity. The iPhone 15 Pro Max, the top model in the series, is reportedly the hardest hit.
Apple always launches new iPhone devices in his September, but the iPhone X and iPhone XR, which launched in his September, were a little late to hit stores. According to previous reports, the iPhone 15 series, consisting of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models, will be officially released in September.
