AR Rahman, who proudly elevated the name of Bollywood cinema and country, is celebrating his 54th birthday today. The musician has achieved considerable successes in his career. Rahman was awarded the Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire. Two days before he won the Oscar, he survived a major crisis.

AR Rahman has mentioned that incident in many interviews. Just 2 days before Oscar Ceremony, he went to the American television industry's well-known host Oprah Winfrey's show. After the discussion was over, Rehman got up and reached the door, when the chandelier fell with part of the roof where he was sitting. Rahman says that on that day he was shaken but even after that he was not scared. He realized that he would become history within a few seconds.
