India's Arjun Kadhe has managed to make it to the main draw of the Bengaluru Open. But Saketh Myneni has been knocked out of this ATP Challenger tennis tournament with a defeat in the first round. Kadhe, who made it to the qualifying event as an alternate player, has defeated Austria's Alexander Erler 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets on Monday. In the first round of the main draw, Kadhe will face the fifth-ranked Altugh Selikbilek of Turkey.
Myneni, who made it to the Indian team as a reserve member for the coming month's Davis Cup tie against Denmark, has suffered a 1-6, 1-6 defeat against Italy's Jian Marco Moroni in the first round of the men's singles. According to reports, Shashi Kumar Mukund, however, failed to cross the qualifier hurdle. He lost 3-6, 2-6 against third-ranked Borna Gojo of Croatia in the first round.
Let us tell you that Prajnesh Gunneswaran and Ramkumar Ramanathan are scheduled to start their men's singles campaign on Tuesday against Matthias Borg and Max Purcell respectively.
