Actually, 34 years ago on December 11, 1988, father Sachin Tendulkar also scored a century against Gujarat in his first match of the Ranji Trophy. Arjun has also done this feat in the month of December. Sachin was only 15 years old at that time. Sachin also scored a century in his debut match in the Duleep Trophy and Irani Trophy. Apart from being a left-handed batsman, Arjun also bowls fast with his left hand.
All-rounder Arjun was earlier part of the Mumbai team. He did not get a chance to make his debut from Maharashtra. He later made his place in the Goa team. On Monday (December 13), he got a chance to play the first match at the Ranji Trophy. On Tuesday, December 14, 2022, Arjun came out to bat after the team's 5th wicket fell. After that Arjun batted like an experienced batsman and played a brilliant inning of 120 runs.
