Through his revolutionary activities, Shyamji Krishna Varma had dynamics India's resolve of independence, in addition to which many revolutionaries became a source of inspiration. He was the first Indian to have M.A. degree from Oxford. Impressed by his Sanskrit speech in Pune, Monier Williams had made Vermaji his mark as an assistant professor of Sanskrit at Oxford. Let us tell you that today is the 164th birth anniversary of Shyamji Krishna Varma.

This great man was born on October 4, 1857, in Mandvi town of Gujarat Province. The town currently falls in the Mandvi Lok Sabha constituency. He started completing the work for Swaraj in Ajmer in 1888 amid advocacy. He did many public interest works while living in Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh and Junagadh in Gujarat. From the age of 20, he started participating in revolutionary activities.

After which he went back to England in 1897. In 1905, lord Curzon struggled against his excesses. In the same year, England launched the monthly newspaper "The Indian Sociologist" which was later published in Geneva. He established India House in England. After returning from India, in 1905, he established the Indian Home Rule Society with revolutionary students.
