New Delhi: Born on 5 November 1990, Delhi's left-arm fast bowler Pradeep Sangwan is celebrating his 320th birthday today. You may be surprised to know that Pradeep, who has played for several teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL), is the first Indian cricketer to be charged in a doping case. Due to this, he was banned. However, now the ban has been removed from him. This ban was imposed on Pradeep on 18 July 2013. Let us tell you that Pradeep is a resident of Najafgarh in Delhi and since he was 20, he had joined Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

At the same time, it is said that in the year 2012, he played two matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL, but he did not get a single wicket in both matches. At the same time, he plays for Delhi in domestic cricket and has taken 123 wickets in 38 domestic matches. He also played a key role in the Under-19 World Cup victory in 2008 and Sangwan had suffered a shoulder injury during the IPL, due to which he went to the UK for surgery, while he was not available to discuss the doping matter.

Let us tell you that after the doping ban was lifted, Pradeep had spoken to the media and said, 'During the ban, I was not allowed to practice or use any facility of the state cricket association. Now I can practice with the Ranji team. It was very painful to stay away from the game but I got support from all sides. In the last 18 months, I got rid of my shoulder problem by undergoing surgery in the UK and since then I was slowly recovering from this problem.
