International Day of Human Unity is celebrated all over the world on 20th December every year. The United Nations (UN) has declared December 20 as International Day of Human Unity to spread the message of unity. The objective of The International Day of Human Unity is to spread awareness to the people by highlighting the importance of unity in diversity. Various countries of the world spread the message of peace, brotherhood, love, harmony, and unity among their people on this day.

India has been following 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' since ancient times, the whole world is one family and we are all its members. Human unity and the approach to seeing everyone in a similar way have been embedded in the soil of India for eternity. But the spirit of some nations or, say, some people, is still a little different. International Day of Human Unity is celebrated to explain to them the importance of human unity and equality.

We all know that organization is the root cause of all powers, it is on the strength of unity that many countries have been formed and no country can ever progress without unity. National unity means the continuation of mutual love, unity, and brotherhood in all the constituents of the nation, despite different ideas and different beliefs. In national unity, not only physical proximity is important, but it requires a similarity of mental, intellectual, ideological, and emotional closeness.
