Arunachal Governor mourns the death of Assam Rifles jawan Longdon Wangsu

Brig (Retd) Dr. BD Mishra, Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, has conveyed his condolences on the death of Assam Rifles jawan Longdon Wangsu while on duty.

The Governor wrote to Chumki Wangsu, the soldier's widow, on Friday, saying that the people of Arunachal Pradesh had lost a gallant son and the Assam Rifles had lost a heroic warrior in Wangsu's death.

"His sacrifice in the line of duty will set an example for the State's youth," he stated.  "I join the people of the state, particularly my Wancho brethren, in extending my condolences to the deceased family at this sad time. We are praying for the departed soul's eternal rest "In his letter, the Governor stated.

Wangsu was recently killed in a bomb attack in Manipur.
