Arunachal Pradesh logs 58 new Covid cases, No deaths reported

COVID-19 recoveries in Arunachal Pradesh have surpassed new infections, with 259 more patients recovering from the disease in the last 24 hours compared to 58 new infections, according to a top Health Department official.

With the new infections, the overall number of cases in the state has risen to 63,479, with 61,589 people having been cured of the disease so far, according to the official. According to State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa, the recovery rate among patients increased marginally to 97.02 percent from 96.70 percent the day before.

The Capital Complex Region reported 28 new cases, 16 from Lower Subansiri, six from Papumpare, two from Tirap, and one each from West Kameng, Upper Siang, Tawang, Namsai, Lower Dibang Valley, and Changlang district. According to the official, the death toll in the state has remained at 291, with no new fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. According to Jampa, 50 additional cases were discovered using quick antigen testing, three through RT-PCR, and five through TrueNAT procedures, with 19 of them developing COVID-19 symptoms.
