New Delhi: The Twitter war that started between Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is not taking its name to stop. CM Sarma today attacked Kejriwal's proposed tour of Assam. He tweeted and wrote, 'Today you are expressing your desire to come to Assam Arvind Kejriwal Ji. I am sad and sorry that such a desire of yours does not wake up when our people of Assam are facing a horrific natural calamity like floods! And yes, an invitation has already been sent to your Deputy CM Manish Sisodia Ji from Assam.

Himanta Vishwa Sharma wrote in another tweet, 'You came to power together by promising to make Delhi like London and Paris, remember Kejriwal Ji? If they could not do anything, then they started comparing Delhi with the smaller cities of Assam and the Northeast! Believe me, if BJP gets a city and resources like Delhi, then the party will make it the most prosperous city in the world. Let us tell you that the debate between the two leaders on Twitter started on Wednesday after Kejriwal tweeted that closing schools is not a solution and there is a need to open more schools in the country. Actually, Kejriwal had shared a piece of news claiming that some schools have been closed in Assam.

After which CM Sarma, while replying to Kejriwal with figures, said, 'Dear Arvind Kejriwal Ji, as always you made some comments without any homework! Please note, since my days as Education Minister, the Government of Assam has established/acquired 8,610 new schools. How many new schools have the Delhi government started in the last 7 years?' CM Sarma, giving figures to the Delhi CM, tweeted, 'Number of private schools taken over or provincialized by the Government of Assam since 2013: Primary 6,802; Secondary 1,589, Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya: 81, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasik Vidyalaya: 3, Model School: 38, Tea Garden Model School: 97'. Along with this, Assam CM also wrote in his tweet that, I am curious to know the figures of Delhi. Although Kejriwal could not give any figures in response to this, but he continued to make political statements.
