Lucknow: The 'hijab controversy started in Karnataka but now politics is intensifying in Uttar Pradesh as well. Meanwhile, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, who arrived in Rampur, has taken a dig at Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former CM Akhilesh Yadav over the issue. Owaisi raised the question of the hijab and asked why Akhilesh is silent on this issue.
At the same time, Owaisi also expressed his opinion on Azam Khan. "I pray that he comes out of the trouble he is in.'' Attacking Akhilesh Yadav, Asaduddin Owaisi said why Akhilesh is silent on the issue of hijab. Why is he running away from hijab questions? Owaisi said the issue of hijab is a complete privacy issue. It is an issue of fundamental rights and empowerment of women.

Addressing a gathering, Owaisi said that he had spoken to Muskan Khan, a girl who raised the slogan of 'Allah Hu Akbar'' in Karnataka, through video conferencing. He accused the hijab of causing unprovoked controversy and called upon people to teach daughters well.
